Controlling frame content with links

Use a link in one frame to change the content in another frame.

To create a link that changes the content of a different frame:

1 Select the frame by Alt-clicking it (Windows) or Option-clicking it (Macintosh).
2 Name the frame by entering a name in the Frame box in the Property inspector.
3 Repeat for each frame in the frameset.
4 Select text or an object, and then enter the file to which you want to link in the Link box in the Property inspector.
To specify an anchor in the other file, enter a pound sign (#) before the anchor name. See Using named anchors for navigation.
5 Click the expander arrow in the lower right corner of the Property inspector and then choose the name of the other frame from the Target pop-up.
